Plitvice is Croatia's most famous National Park. It has many lakes and waterfalls and is ideal for hiking or trekking. The region of Dalmatia is beautiful with untouched nature and a thousand islands. The Island of Ciovo is only 25 km away from Split and is connected by bridge to Trogir, a little town under the protection of UNESCO.
Fazana and the islands of Brioni is just a little north of Pula, and was a summer home for the Caesars during the Roman Empire. ‘Stone Age Man’ also dwelt here with the dinosaurs and you can see still their footprints in stone.
